Sensory equipment can help individuals regulate their nervous system, reduce stress, and improve focus by providing calming or stimulating sensory input. These tools assist the brain to process, interpret, and respond to sensory information.
Smart House
The Hancock County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Ohio will offer a Smart House for individuals with developmental disabilities to trial and tour as they explore independent living options. The house is equipped with assistive and remote technologies. With the freedom of independence there is still a sense of security for those who need reminders for medications or guidance in daily tasks. This innovative concept will offer a variety of ways people with developmental disabilities can create their independent life path through technology advancements.
