Marcuise has overcome many obstacles the last few months. He was able to find a purpose through his job, which he loves. It has been amazing to see how his entire outlook on life has changed.
Kobe, 11, joined our Special Olympics Skilled Basketball Team for the 2018-2019 season. Kobe was learning how to shoot, dribble, and pass the ball but the most important skill he learned was waiting his turn. Kobe worked really hard this past season. He not only participated in the regional tournament but participated in the 2020 Winter State Games at Bowling Green State University where he brought home the GOLD!
I think Keith is a doing a great job. It's for me to pick a favorite [DSP] because I feel they both do an excellent job with Keegan. That's not mentioning all the other great staff at 1st Choice Family Services. It feels good to see Keegan in a situation where he can thrive, surrounded by people that care about him. The staff have been wonderful.
The Help Me Grow program has had a tremendously positive impact on Percy. Before we started working with his service provider, Cory, we struggled to deal with frequent meltdowns. The frequency and duration began to have a very negative effect on Percy's experiences. The help and guidance we've received has allowed us to effectively communicate with Percy and meet his unique developmental needs. He spends so much more time playing and being happy. Our experience with Help Me Grow has allowed Percy to live his best life.
