We are committed to making supports the best they can be for individuals in Hancock County with developmental disabilities.

Our mission is to provide resources and supports that empower people with DD to live lives with meaning and purpose.

Locally known as Blanchard Valley Center, the Hancock County Board of Developmental Disabilities is the first point of contact for providing cradle-to-grave support for individuals with developmental disabilities in Hancock County.

We take pride in providing people with the greatest opportunities for community inclusion in all aspects of their lives – education, employment, residential and social. Our ultimate goal is to make sure that every person that we support experiences the most fulfilling life possible. As our mission states, we empower people to live lives with meaning and purpose and we take this responsibility very seriously.
