Blanchard Valley Center Administration

 

Advocacy and Community Support Coordinator

Full Time Hourly position, Frequent evenings and weekends required

Must be Project STIR trained

Job SummaryThis position empowers self-advocates by encouraging independence and choice in various activities and settings. This position will move forward advocacy and community participation by not only growing and expanding the program and its participants, but also by facilitating, coordinating and leading groups of individuals with disabilities related to self-advocacy, recreation and community integration. The Advocacy and Community Support Coordinator will provide leadership to self-advocates under the direction of the Quality Services Director.    

 

Special Olympics Coordinator

Full time Hourly position, Evenings and weekend events are required.

Bachelor Degree is required.

Experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities and coaching/athletic directing preferred.

Job Summary: Provides excellent leadership by focusing on Blanchard Valley Center and Special Olympics’ missions. Coordinates and administers the Special Olympics program for Blanchard Valley Center which serves both adults and students in athletic endeavors. Implements the incorporation of unification into the existing program. Insures individuals and their families receive excellent customer services and works with other members of the staff to achieve the missions and visions. Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with all constituencies. This position will also assist with providing recreation and community integration activities.

 

 

All positions require High School Diploma/GED, a valid Ohio Driver License with acceptable driving record, Ability to pass physical and drug screen and have a clean background verified by a BCI/FBI check.
