 Blanchard Valley Center Service and Support Administration  

 Service and Support Administrator

Duties include: Provide exceptional services to individuals who have developmental disabilities and their families.

Establishes and reviews individual eligibility for County Board services; assesses individual needs for services and assesses the individual’s likes, dislikes, priorities, and desired outcome, and determines what is important to the individual including health, welfare, and medical needs, as applicable.

 

Wages start at $32,900 plus on call pay. Benefits include OPERS retirement system, personal days, vacation after 1 year, sick time and county board paid life insurance.

Bachelor degree in social service related field is required for this position. 

 

Applicant must be able to pass physical, drug screen, background checks and insurability per company policy. 

 

 

Blanchard Valley Industries 

Adult Service Provider (Substitute)

  • Provide excellent service to individuals who have developmental disabilities and their families. Provides direct training to assigned consumer employees; demonstrates work tasks and assists with development of job skills; assists consumer employees with completing tasks; assists with developing self-help skills; assists in and out of chairs, on and off commodes, etc., as required.

Blanchard Valley School

Instructor 

We are looking for a Dynamic Teacher to work at Blanchard Valley School- Senior classroom starting the 15-16 school year.

Provides excellent leadership by focusing on Blanchard Valley Center’s mission.  Insures individuals and their families receive exceptional customer services and achieve the outcomes they need/want.  Works with other members of the staff to achieve the BVC mission and vision.  Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with all constituencies. 

Teacher of students with  developmental disabilities in providing instruction and/or educational programming for school age students; assesses student needs and develops IEP's; conducts individual and group activities; escorts students to and from classrooms and on field trips; assists students with motor development, socialization, self-maintenance, communication, etc.

Pay range is based on Union contract and dependent on education and experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision and life insurance and STRS retirement system.

Applicant must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree and must possess or be able to obtain ODE certification and demonstrate progress towards Intervention Specialist licensure if not already obtained. Must have a valid OH driver’s license and be insurable per company policy. Must be able to pass physical, drug screen and background check.
