Accreditation & Qualifications
The Hancock County Board of Developmental Disabilities is accredited by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Our agency is comprised of degreed professionals dedicated to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Staff are certified by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and have ongoing training.

Services Provided -
- Assessment: Determines individual needs and wants
- Individual Service Planning: Defines goals and services for individuals
- Service Coordination: Links individuals with needed services
- Service Monitoring: Ensures that individuals received needed and effective services
- Information: To help individuals and families make wise decisions
- Community Residential Supports: Supported Living, Waiver Administration
- Eligibility Determination: through the Ohio Eligibility Determination Instrument (OEDI)
- Review of Unusual and Major Unusual Incidents: Ensures individual health, safety, and welfare
- Referral: To other organizations and service providers in the community for specialized assistance
- Behavioral Support Plans: To maintain the dignity of individuals with behavioral needs
- Quality Assurance Reviews: Ensures that individuals are receiving needed services and are satisfied
Support
Located at Blanchard Valley Industries, the department consists of eleven SSA's and one administrative assistant.
Regular business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
